sir my approved learning partner tutor told me that dont use BPP revision kit instead at the end of each section tutor has made reference to certain exam question –
PRACTISE
P3 – Pilot Paper Q1: Pestel | Porter 5 Forces (NMS)
P3 – Dec 2009 Q2: Value Chain (Independent Living)
P3 – Jun 2010 Q2: SFA Framework | Porter Diamond Model (Swift)
P3 – Dec 2010 Q1: Corp Portfolio | Turnaround Strategy (Shoal plc)I have two queries – (if possible could you please answer each one individal0-
QUERY -1 – the refernce made to past paper question above are of P3 and are of 2009 so are these part paper still relevant?
QUERY -2 – Is itappropriate or effective to skip the question in BPP revision kit and and only do question from the past paper question (SBR & (P!) & (P2))
May 5, 2022 at 5:32 am #654949Q1 There was great overlap between P3 and SBL, so P3 questions can be helpful. They are self-contained rather than case studies so are useful at the early stages of learning to allow you to practise specific parts of the syllabus content.
Q2 I do not think it is appropriate not to attempt actual SBL papers. The information is provided to you as a series of exhibits and the question requirements are often different to those in earlier papers. All of that needs practice.
May 5, 2022 at 7:36 am #654957Sir your reply to query 2 did not clear my doubt maybe I couldn’t communicate my question right ill try rephrasing it –
Sir which approach would it be more effective to
APPROACH-1) – To do BPP revsision kit and 8 past paper question given on acca website
OR
APPROACH-2) – After the end of each chapter my ALP provides question relating to that chapter from past P3 paper questions (like P3 – Dec 2009 Q2: Value Chain Independent Living) Skip The BPP exam kit focus more on question from past P3 paper question relating to particular chapter and ALSO SOLVE 8 PAST PAPER QUESTION given on acca website
DOUBT – which approach to would be more effective? – thanks
May 5, 2022 at 3:53 pm #654975Try 2 then use the BPP kit if you need more question practice. BPP kits often give guidance as to how to approach old SBL exam questions so it is worth looking at those answers as well as ACCA’s.
