Hello Ken, I have a Bpp Revision kit query.
A popular approach to self development is for employees to reflect on work incidents, and assess whether and how they might adjust their behaviour to gain more successful outcomes in future.
On which school of learning theory is this approach based?
(A) Behaviourist psychology
(B) Cognitive psychology
(C) Contingency theory
(D) Learning stylesThe correct answer : B.
Cognitive approach is due to skills and knowledge. There is no restriction for past experience.
Behaviorist approach has to do well if past experience. The experience will be related to our stimuli.March 28, 2022 at 5:50 pm #652159The behaviourist approach really deals with rewards and sanctions: do something right and you are rewarded but do something wrong you are punished. It is not necessary to know why reward/punishment are given – just to know what the correct behaviour is with little understanding.
The cognitive approach requires you to understand the situation and why certain behaviours are right/wrong.
In the question employees are asked to reflect and understand.
