When I see the questions in practice kit, it seems that I have forgotten most of the learning. So should I check the model answers and try to understand just from it or should I go back to the relevant section of the question in the notes and try to understand and revise from it and then try to attempt the question and then check the model answers? Which way is better? The second way might be more time consuming energy consuming difficult and frustrating whereas the first way might be quicker and mean that I can prepare for the exam in june whereas if I do it the second way then it may mean that I have to give exam in september but the second way might be more effective and mean that I am better prepared for the exam. So what should I do

You should not be attempting questions from the exam kit until you have thoroughly worked through the lectures and study notes and done the work listed at the end of each chapter.
When you have completed your study of each tax then you may attempt some exam kit questions on that tax – Section C for income tax and corporation tax along with some Section A questions.
For CGT, IHT and VAT you can attempt some Section B questions and again some relevant Section A questions.
This work should identify the areas where you are still weak and need to return to your notes / lectures.
The remaining Exam Kit questions should be reserved for your final revision after all the study work has been completed.
