I have a bpp study text and kit this is my first professional level paper in the previous paper(applied level) if you study chapter 1 there were question relating to that chapter in the exam kit and there were also section 1,2,3,4,5 in the exam kit and chapter relating to those section for eg section 4 -chapter 7,8,9 had to be studied to attempt that section 4
DOUBT – IN BPP TEXT SBL there are no section everthing is mixed up and if i have studied chapter 1 and i want to test my knowledge and practice question relating chapter 1 how do i find question relating to chapter ?
really confused please help
This is not an exam which examines knowledge: it requires you to apply both common sense and theory to tasks in case study scenarios. The tasks are often multi-disciplinary, not just requiring one approach.
So, it’s not like, say FM, where you read about tax and DCF then can be directed to a question that specifically asks about that. There is also a danger of learning to many facts/theories/frameworks/models then you feel (perhaps because of all your effort) you have to explain those in the exam. Not so: application and question practice is key.
I suggest you do not read the BPP text. Instead read our notes and listen all our lectures, then attempt questions, researching if you need to (eg using the BPP text and OT notes) and carefully looking at the answer. Occasionally, a question might require a specific piece of technical knowledge you don’t know so leave that and use the question as a spur to learn it.
It will be slow at the start but will keep you focussed on applying yourself to questions.
