Dear Sir,
Could you please help clarify where $76·652 million comes from when we calculate the dividend requirements? The orginal shares are 90 million and the dividend is 0.74 per share, why it is not 0.74*90 million = 66.6 $miliion, but $76·652 million
“Increase in dividend remittances required = $88·8 million – $76·652 million = $12·148 million”
many thanks in advance.
best regards,
The question asks for the dividend capacity, which is not the dividend they will pay but is the amount available for dividends.
The amount available for shareholders is the profit after interest and tax.
Thank you very much.
You are welcome 🙂
