Hello Sir,
Please how many number of assets can be transferred from one spouse or civil partner to the other for tax planning purposes? Is it only one or more? Thanks in advance.
November 8, 2021 at 1:04 pm #640224Any number of assets may be transferred to a spouse / civil partner. Are you asking this question following your study of income tax or also having studied this issue in CGT?
November 23, 2021 at 10:22 am #641378Thank you Sir. Please I asked following my study of the issue in CGT.
November 23, 2021 at 11:25 am #641383That’s great – so you will understand the no gain no loss transfer rule that applies between spouses (or civil partners) that in planning terms will allow each spouse to utilise their AE and to ensure that taxable gains where possible are taxed at the lowest available tax rate and for losses to be more effectively used.
