Good day,
Can you please assist with this question:Heritage limited had 46 people at the start of the year and 40 people at the end of the year. During the period 14 people left the company. What is the staff turnover rate expressed as a percentage?
A) 11.6
B) 32.6
C) 37.2
D) 18.6September 20, 2021 at 5:10 am #636029Average staff =(46 + 40)/2=43
14 left but total employed fell by 6 so therefore 8 replacements.
(8/43) x100= 18.6 roundedSo I believe D is the correct answer.
Think above is correct.Hope this helps.September 20, 2021 at 6:22 am #636033The commonest calculation = Number of leavers/ Average staff
= 14/43
However, this would give a distorted answer if there was a deliberate policy to reduce labour, in which case it can be calculated as you have so that you just count those who left and whom you want to replace.

Noticed your reply went red and hit restore button but this resulted in it being deleted. Not sure why it went red in first place. Can only think I accidentally hit something on my phone.
