    sweet treats bakery (december 2016)

For weighing process I calculated the number of units for each type of cake to be 640 480 240
    For mixing 360 337 300
    For baking 380 392 240
None of the process seems to be bottleneck I don’t understand where I went wrong.

Also what is the optimal production plan if mixing minutes are limited to 120. Should it be calculated in batches or in units. What should be the approach

How much will profit increase by if the company hires a new oven at a cost of 45 per day and manufactures as many cupcakes as possible. I calculated the answer to be 55 but this is incorrect. I don’t understand where I went wrong

Should all workings be done in batches or in units or minutes or hours

The problem for all of the points you mention is that the question specifies that the cakes have to be produced in their batch sizes.

So, for example, to make the maximum demand of 140 brownies they will have to make 4 batches. (There are 40 per batch so 140/40 = 3.5, but that is not possible and to they will have to make 4 batches.)
