Measures of average and dispersion- Average (lec 2)

Sir, in school, I have been taught that when the total frequency of observations is even, the middle value is n/2, but when it is odd, it is n+1/2. However, in the sum with the grouped data, the total is 52, but we have taken n/2 for median as 26.5 instead of 26.
