Hi:
I passed the AFM and ATX (UK) exams, but I am considering to do audit in my career, is it possible to do AAA exam with ACCA? As I already finished my two options. Thanks.
June 20, 2021 at 5:55 pm #625934You don’t need to pass AAA (UK) unless you are wanting a practicing certificate in audit https://www.accaglobal.com/sg/en/member/sectors/smp/practising-certificates-and-licences/apply-for-an-acca-practising-certificate-and-audit-qualification.html – meaning you want to be able to sign audit reports. But you can pursue a career in audit without a practicing certificate – just not to an audit engagement partner level. To be an audit manager, for example, does not require practicing certificate. So in this case you could work through an AAA course of study and just not sit the exam.
If you need to sit the exam, however, I believe you can enter for it post-qualification (in which case you can also claim CPD for it). So once you’re affiliate I suggest you contact ACCA directly to find out how to enter for additional exam https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
