Hello Sir, I hope you are doing well 🙂 I don’t know if it is a silly question to ask but wanted to know anyway!

Can you please tell me, In real life what should we study to know more about the company other than financial statements?

Like before investing in a company by buying the shares, how do the investors really get help from? Do they interpret financial statements of a particular company OR there are other statements available about the company other than financial statements to study the company’s past performance & future prospects?

Although the most obvious source of information is the financial statements, quoted companies publish information quarterly updating forecasts for the financial year.

In addition you would be looking at other information about the company about future intentions (such as major new investments that they were intending to make or new intentions regarding raising more finance).

You would also be looking at how competitor companies were doing and how future economic factors (such as, for example, predictions of higher rates of inflation) were likely to affect the particular company.
