Hello. Due to COVID situation from last 1 and half year I am not able to sit in exams and my SBL expire in coming June I just email ACCA but they are not giving extension say u need to retake the exam if they are not conducted exam in my country than what next step I do please help?
You’re not giving me a lot to go on – presumably you are referring to the “seven-year rule” https://www.accaglobal.com/vn/en/student/getting-started/rules-and-regulations-for-students/time-limits.html
SBL was only introduced in September 2018 so it cannot be that you need to retake SBL again – but that you need to sit an exam which you converted from P1/P3 passes under the old professional exam scheme. You do not say what exam(s) you are sitting next week – I presume these are your last.
Presumably you wrote to students@accaglobal.com – can you provide the name and position of the person who replied to you? It would be most helpful if you can actually give the response in entirety.
With more information, I can make further inquiry but in the meantime I think you should FOCUS on your imminent exam(s) – we have a national holiday here in UK tomorrow and then every department of ACCA is extremely busy in June, so I am not going to be able to provide an immediate response.
Hello yes it’s p1andP3 which is converted in SBL.and I am currently doing optionals.if they started exams in my area than I gave options email response is from someone vashnavi from ACCA India connect and I email to student@ ACCA global
You are doing two options next week? And they will be your last exams, assuming you pass them?
Currently exams are not available in Vancouver canada centre base as well as remotely I try to pay fees there is no options for exam centre or remotely, so than I am not appear in this session if it’s not available but that’s not because of me that I suffer all the loss if I appear in exam all the time that wasted because of COVID situation may be paper pass before June but now if exam not available what I do?

Do you recollect what date you tried to book? What were you trying to book? And would you still have had exam(s) to sit after June? I am just trying to establish facts before making inquiries of ACCA.
Yes I tried to book for June but its not available and I tried to book advance audit optional paper exams not available in Vancouver canada but now I am worry about my expire exam that I have to retaken according to ACCA
What you are saying is that in 7 years you have passed SBR so presumably there are other reasons why you have not sat options – it can’t all be down to covid in the last 15 months. I will find out and post here if there is any recourse.
Yeah there are many reasons to when SBL started at that time I just gave SBR and p1and p3 I clear before .the new course started that is SBL at that time and I get the date expiry from the latter date of p1 and 3 after that I started giving options I sit AAA 1time and fail and then I didn’t gave exam and than COVID started at that time I pay my fees for AAA but exam cancel in March
My son is hospitalized and I need to be with my son he is so young at that time I email ACCA my son medical report and cancel my exam and than almost year I miss because of that but if ACCA consider last 15month if I try for options in 15months 2optinal may be I qualified but at least I have no regret that I never try may be you understand my concerns the last 15 months not my fault I pay fees too they see my record and exam cancel at least during this difficult time ACCA needs to show some care about their students
