Sir can you please tell me what a valid assignment?? It’s a term used as exception for third party in privity of contract

Hi
So a an assignment is where there is a transfer. So for eg transferring a debt would be an “assignment” of the debt to someone else. Essentially it means a contract to “transfer”.
