The actual rate of learning on the calculator for r^4 of 0.375 is for example.. ?(?(0.375)) =0.75
But what if I want to find r^3 of 0.375, how would I work it out on the calculator?
You need a scientific calculator which will have a button on it for calculating the x’th root.
There is a scientific calculator in the CBE software that you can use, and this has that button.

I’ve found a way to do it e.g
8a(r^3)=34.3
8(12.5)((r^3)=34.3
r=34.3/(8*12.5))^(1/3)
=0.70That is fine. Taking something to the power of 1/3 is the same as taking the third root. (Just as taking something to the power of 1/5 is the same as taking the 5th root)
It doesn’t matter which you do (although if your calculator has a button that lets you take something to the power of 1/3 then it will also have a button that lets you take the third root 🙂 )
