Good day Mr John.
I have issues with Kaplan’s answer for Question 84 – Section A in their revision kit .
Isn’t – x – = +
In the revision kit for P = a – bQ , when b was negative initially, 2 negatives ( – x -)equals positive ( + )but the revision kit’s answer is showing the 2 negatives ( – x -) and negative instead of positive.
In future you must ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum if you want me to answer. This forum is for students to help each other.
I do not have the Kaplan books – only the BPP Revision Kit.
However, in the price demand equation bQ is always subtracted from ‘a’ , for the reasons I explain in my free lectures. It would never make any sense for it to be added, because the whole idea is that the the lower the selling price, the greater the demand.
Thank you sir.
You are welcome 🙂
