Is it necessary to learn the names of various people who have come up with different theories?
Eg Leavitt for patterns of communication, Kolb and Honey&Mumford etc? Is it expected to be an exam question?

Names are often used to identify theories – especially if there are a number of theories for a particular topic. So, you might be asked to choose which writer is associated with experiential learning: Honey and Mumford, Leavitt, Kolb or Maslow.
