    Part C) Dear Tutor, let us assume the situation before half-price promotion .

    Sales volume variance for food (360*32.4975)=11699.1F

    Actual sales units for food—–1560

    Budget sales units for food-1200

    difference============360F

    Standard contibution per unit=$38997/1200 units=$32.4975

    Sales volume variance for drink

    Actual usage—(1560*4)=====6240—can we consider here actual average use for drink is the same as standard average use as there has not been given budget average drink unit?

    Standard unit based on actual unit (average 4 units*1560)-6240

    difference =========================================nil/zero/0

    After a half-price promotion

    I can not calculate sales volume for food because we can know that it will increase from reading the scenario without giving the increase in units after half-price promotion

    sales volume variance for drink

    Actual usage (1560*average 6 drinks)-9360

    Standard use based on actual sales unit (1560*4)-6240

    difference==============================3120 F

    sales volume variance for drink will also increase because average drink consumption increase from 4 units to 6 units which also directly improve sales volume variance for food

    so sales volume variance for food will also increase even before promotion it is favourable after half-price promotion for drink the sales volume will inrease more and more

    Again, you are wasting time that you cannot afford to waste in the exam.

    There are only 4 marks for this part of the question and the requirement states that you are not required to do any further calculations. The marks are purely for discussion.

    For the same reason – and understand this and do not be angry! – you cannot expect me to spend my time working through unnecessary workings from you. I have to work to earn a living, but am also answering questions free of charge in my free time. Because I answer questions for 5 of the exam papers, I have already answered 60 questions today (and I have not yet finished answering).

    Dear Tutor,if you have looked the question you should have known that it will almost take 4 5 minutes to answer my question.I know i wrote correctly but would like also your confirmation.
    I always find my weak part and due to this weaknesses I everytime failed.
    I really appreciate your effort:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

    What you wrote is fine but why all the workings? If you did all these workings in the exam then you would be waiting time for no extra marks.
