Hi John, I have a question.which part of intermediate accounting ACCA’s financial accounting covers? Also, which part of intemediate accounting Acca’s financial reporting covers?
February 27, 2021 at 8:21 am #611887Paper FR expands on what is learned in Paper FA (which is then expanded further in Paper SBR). Accounting cannot be split into parts as you are suggesting.
You can find the syllabuses on the ACCA website detailing what is examined at each level.
February 27, 2021 at 12:07 pm #611973I am preparing to take CPA FAR(probably after my PM exam) because I earned Green card of the USA and i will need CPA..I see CPA has been broken down into intermediate accounting 1 2 3 4 something like that that is why i asked. I passed FA and FR of ACCA so would like to know which part of it it covers intermediate accounting. Thank you very much.
February 27, 2021 at 3:03 pm #612002I cannot help you with CPA.
You need to look at the syllabus and compare it with the ACCA syllabuses for FA and FR to see which topics are in which syllabus. ‘Intermediate Accounting’ is not an accounting term – it simply means more complicated accounting than basic accounting but less complicated than advanced accounting!!
February 27, 2021 at 3:52 pm #612015FA and FR cover almost 80% of all intermediate accountings.
