Hey I am interested in applying for acca from F1 and have not applied yet however I saw on acca website saying “acca student are not allowed to work in public practice” and it was saying that you can only do bookkeeping and work under some strict rules. also a colleague in acca had told me this too so I called again and surprisingly I was told the opposite that i can work at any place and at any field of accountancy so currently I am little bit scared and confused because it takes a long time to complete acca apart from the PER itself and i dont want to spend my time doing bookkeeping all the time forever I heard that acca MEMBERS cannot work except bookkeeping unless they have obtained the” practice certificate” which requires two additional years to obtain so I dont know what to do I want to know that are these informations correct?? or not?because if i wanted to only do bookkeeping i would apply for aat .please if you are an acca student or an acca part-qualified or member who do not have a practice certificate yet and you’e working in accountancy answer this question please i would really appreciate it. and what jobs can i get after I get part- qualified? (about myself i have to say i have a high school diploma in a different subject which I studied it abroad however im eligible to dive into F1 instead of foundation and know some basic accoutancy but i have got no experience I am currently in UK)
