Hi,
It is mentioned the in AAA study notes that students shouldn’t sit AAA without already studying SBR. Would you recommend sitting SBR and AAA in the same sitting?
Thanks
I would not recommend as that would contradict ACCA’s first point of advice for AAA candidates:
“Study resources for the ACCA exam Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA). Note that the level of accounting knowledge for AAA is aligned to the SBR syllabus. Students are ENCOURAGED to sit and pass SBR before attempting AAA.”
That said, candidates at this level should have the wherewithal to plan their studies so they are not trying to design substantive audit procedures for share options before they know how they should be accounted for (for example).
