I am deciding to use two companies based in two different countries with different currencies is this possible for topic 8.
Ratios mean that currency translation is not required [and in fact should not be used as it introduces artificial differences based merely on the exchange rate chosen]. Only when using the basic raw data can this make comparisons more difficult e.g. total revenue, share price – in which case the trends in the data for each company over the 3 years can be discussed (sharp increases in share price / decreasing sales trend etc. rather direct comparisons with the actual figures for both companies against each other)
