Sir in your lectures about sampling you said that multi stage sampling is not random
However when i checked the answer scheme for a certain mcq question it had this as the following statement in its answer
Multi-stage is a series of random samples.
Sir please explain me how this is possible
It is not completely random – it is quasi-random (which means partly random).
As is written in the lecture notes:
“For example, suppose a company has several thousand purchase invoices filed, filling 20 files. Take a random sample of (say) 5 files, and then a random sample of (say) 20 invoices from each of these files.”
which is exactly the same as what is written in your post!This is ridiculous.
The answer to your question is very clearly written in the free lecture notes and you can not expect me to type out the notes again here.
