Our exam centre had a technical issue due to which our exam was started 3 hours late with all the hassle and disruption.

I made a request to Acca to consider our circumstances on exam day, on which they replied saying the exam review panel will consider this matter whilst marking.

But I got fail mark with just 41, which I strongly believe is not true. That is after they consider my circumstances and grace mark they have provided. This is my fourth attempt and in my previous exam i scored 46.

I want to make an appeal, for them to be more transparent on their marking and just show a proof that they have taken matter into considered and tell me my mark before consideration and after.

The email I received says I can make an appeal emailing to the Head Examination by emailing ExamsOperationsServices@accaglobal.com by 17/11/2020 enclosing a fee of GBP30.

Should I make an appeal or is it just a waste of money like administrative review.

    Please reply asap.

Given that an administrative review would cost you £52, £30 seems not unreasonable to appeal – and, if successful, a lot cheaper than resitting the exam.

Do you mean I should give it a try.

Only you can decide if you think you have a sufficient case. You should bear in mind that concessionary marks are only going to be a few – not of the order of 10 (say). And ACCA will have taken account of the collective performance of all students affected.

I hope you don’t mind me asking the outcome?
I am in a similar situation – I sat AAA in December 2020 and had technical issues. I submitted a centre complaint straight away. I received my results today and had 49.
I have sent an email today to ask how my complaint was considered when marking my paper.
I’m just wondering whether you got anywhere?
