October 19, 2020 at 9:12 am #590298Do all of the past papers including Bpp (Bpp contains some past paper questions). Try to work out over your weak part.I think that Financial management is not difficult paper as performance management and audit and assurance.
Remember long questions in FM contain WACC, Investment with the mixture of sensitivity analysis and expansion under equity method and debt method.Work over these three long questions which you can find all of them in all past paper questions. The working capital is always multiple choice questions (receviable, payable and inventory) as well as exchange rate. Watch John’s exchange rate question solution and very easy way of explaining them.
Learn always the theory it is always tested. When I attended first time, I was always being tested over CAPM theory including with WACC theory.Systematic and unsystematic risk
Systematic and Unsystematic risk implications
Systematic risk and CAPM
Using CAMP in investment appraisal
Problems with applying the CAPM in practice (its limitations)
CAPM theory’s prepositions
Modigliani Miller with tax and excluding tax including traditional method
WACC in investment appraisal method
Multiple choice questions
Remember or Learn all of the method of project appraisal’s advantages and disadvantages.
Remember derivates its differences and its calculations
Remember interest bearing debts and interest free debt types
Capital market and monet market and so on.
October 19, 2020 at 9:15 am #590311This time i literally did all i could. theory was my weak point i worked on it too but it still fell short. I got no issue in understanding, applying in the papers seems off and i dont know how to correct that.
October 19, 2020 at 9:35 am #590326Do not give up and try it again and again. I am describing my preparation method.
I usually was planning to solve at least three past paper questions ( i was usually concentrating calculations on past paper questions ) in a day for instance 2014 2015 and 2016 (usually there are two past paper questions each year). Then I was writing the theory on the paper for example systematic risk and unsystematic risk its implications, capm, wacc and so on. I knew that after calculations, there will be at least 5 mark questions for theory covering the above mentioned.
Always remember , Acca knows that students ignore theory but they test it always they know that it is students’ weaknesses.Do not give any chance of skipping the theory in th exam. Each long question has at least 10 or 8 marks theory questions. In my exam, I answered all of the theory. they were 10 marks.
Systematic risk and unsystematic risk
Proabilities
investment appraisal
Capm
