Why the leased asset deemed surplus will need to written off?

You need to change the way in which you post questions.
The title should reflect the subject matter for example least asset surplus to requirements.
The question might be phrased: if a leased asset is described as surplus to requirements why should it be written off.
This will make searching easier for other students who wish to ask the same question.
