    hello sir,

    can u plz explain to me the difference between Measure and Analyze phases in 6 sigma?

    as i see them both the same.

    both of them searching for reasons causing the problem for ex. returning goods

    Let’s say a car manufacturer had a problem with doors not fitting well on cars. The first thing is to measure the extent of the problem eg:

    % of poorly-fitting doors identified on final quality check
    % of poorly-fitting doors identified by customers in the first 12 months.

    Then you have to analyse why the problems are occurring eg weak hinges, poor manufacturing (both problems identified might have different causes).

    Then implement improvements (or hoped-for improvements) and measure again to see if the problems have diminished……etc.
