I hope someone can help me on this.
I have seen on the website that I need clarification on ? Please see below about becoming an auditor.
For all students registering from 1 January 2016 the rules are:
“The Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams must be completed within five years from the date the member became eligible to sit those exams”
I would like to know if this means I have to complete the knowledge and skills exams within 5 years ? I am just worried as I have taken a break from studying and I have only completed the first two applied knowledge exams so far. I registered in 2017. Does this mean I cannot become an auditor ? It is quite impossible for me to complete 7 exams in 2 years.
I hope you can help me, as I have a goal of becoming an auditor and I was unaware of this time limit

Under the first heading: What is the seven year rule?
It clearly states:
“There are NO TIME LIMITS for for passing any Foundations in Accountancy exams, nor any of the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams as part of the ACCA Qualification.”Hi Kim.
On the link you sent me it says for a practising certificate and audit qualification, For all students registering from 1 January 2016 the rules are:

I was not aware of this time limit and I have till March 2022 to complete the next 7 exams which i think is impossible for me. is there anyway I cansort this out as I had the goal of becoming an auditor and also having my own practice.
If there’s a good reason why you suspended studies there’s no harm contacting ACCA and asking if there is any flexibility for mitigating circumstances (most rules have some “wiggle room”).
