Dear John,
I’ve just read the syllabus guide on Acca’s website for PM, and it mentions only advance material variance, advanced sales, and planning and operational variances.
my question is do I have to revise and make sure im comfortable with all the variances of MA as well, for instance, variable and fixed ohds variances, etc.
The basic variances from Paper MA are rarely asked in Paper PM, but they can be asked – anything from the management accounting areas in Paper MA can be asked in Paper PM and don’t need to be listed separately in the syllabus.
It would be as well to quickly revise them – that is why the Paper PM free lectures include revision of Paper MA variances.
