    Hello,

I’m attempting the Rail Co mock exam from the BPP kit however I am stuck on Q3a which asks to evaluate the suitability of the two candidates for the position of chief executive. Can you please advise which topic would cover this under the syllabus?

    thanks!

Also in the same paper I’m struggling to understand where some of the figures are coming from in exhibit 6

    – Fraud % for each town
-Estimated fraud due to poor internal control % based on total population
    – Preventable annual fraud

    many thanks again

H3 contains talent management, which would include people. I don’t think that person specifications are included as such in the syllabus, but all you need to do for this question is to compare two exhibits and argue for the better match.

    Top line:

    1.28% = 1820/142,000

Because Town A has barriers this is taken as the level of non-preventable fraud ( a stated in the exhibit)

    Preventable fraud = total fraud – non-preventable.

    For Town C 6.72 = 8.00 – 1.28

    Thanks Ken

Also I was having another issue with this exhibit in how preventable annual fraud is worked out?

for E.G. Town C has a total preventable annual fraud of 3,903,953

    i worked it out as working out 110,000 x 6.72%= 7,392 x 44 x 12= 3,902,976

    Similar for Town D I worked it as 195,000 x 6.26% = 12,207 x 51 x 12 = 7,470,684 however in the exhibit it is 7,470,856

Just wanted to know if there was something I am doing differently to th examiner as its pretty close to what is in the exhbit?

    Thanks again

The differences are so small I would out it down to rounding and not worry about it. Examiners are not so much interested in precise figures are how you interpret them and the advice you might give.
