sir what is the difference between sales volume variance and sales quantity variance? i understand that sales volume variance is made of quantity and mix but am somehow struggling to differentiate between vol and quantity variance!
would be glad if you could help me sir!
The sales volume variance compares actual sales with budget sales.
The sales quantity variance compares actual total sales at standard mix with the budgeted sales.
The sales mix variance compares the actual sales with the actual total sales at standard mix.
