What should I do with the value behind the decimal point when calculating? Take the example 4 in the chapter Inventory Control for example, if the value calculated is 2722.2, should I omit that zero point two? Suppose that was the very value that I am going to submit in the exam.
It depends.
Here you would show to the nearest unit because they cannot make 0.2 of a unit.
In other situations where, for example, it is $’s, the question will specify that it wants the answer to the nearest $ or to the nearest cent or to the nearest $100.
