Dear sir, i came across a sentence but i dont understand it much ( in bpp ) could you help me explain it “ fixed budget, at the planning stage, seeks to define the broad objectives of the organisation” what does “ broad objective “ mean, how the budget works for it?
July 7, 2020 at 9:35 am #576220It is a bit of a silly statement (and I don’t know why BPP write it like that).
The fixed budget is the original budget and sets out the plans (i.e. broad objectives) of the business. Obviously the actual level of activity is likely to end up being different which is why we then are likely to produce a flexed budget in order to exercise control.
I do suggest that you watch my free lectures – they are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. If you are watching the lectures then you do not really need the Study Text (although you always need the Revision Kit because practice at exam-standard questions is vital).
