Not bad at all.
Got whatever I memorized in part c.
Feeling relieved.March 6, 2020 at 2:28 pm #564570all i saw in that exam was debt and loan notes and more loan notes!
revised so much only for a handful of topics to come up???
part c was better but A and B was personally tricky for me plus i ran out of time!!
WACC for one multiple choice q and also for part C and NPV q for part C (got +ve NPV)
IRR question too writtenMarch 6, 2020 at 2:50 pm #564580In exam it was given 6% preference share with nominal 94 million.
I was given in exam 2.27 market price per share of preference share.
And it was written that 25% is dividend just paid.
I calculated cost of preference like
2.27 *.25 = 0.5675 and then I divide it by 2.27 which market price so kp comes like 0.25 is it correctMarch 6, 2020 at 3:14 pm #564583Didn’t like this exam at all. Section A and B were horrific. Section C was average. ?
March 6, 2020 at 4:06 pm #564624Section A and B were awful! Section C NPV question and SOFP question! No cost of debt or equity questions and no WACC, lots of theory questions…not good
March 6, 2020 at 4:12 pm #564627Anyone remember any mcqs
March 6, 2020 at 5:00 pm #564632Got creditor hierarchy at a 5 mark Section C. Where exactly in the syllabus is this?
Sec B: Got a money market hedge Q but no domestic interest rate.
March 6, 2020 at 5:06 pm #564635Anyone really understand what we were supposed to do in the revised SOFP question for Section C? Was not prepared for that at all, had not seen something like it in past questions. Also, no CAPM, just one discounted cash flow question. Loads on money markets, fx and company valuation.
Overall, not great.
March 6, 2020 at 5:11 pm #564638No, I had the same question and was completely thrown because hadn’t seen it in any past paper questions! What did you do?

Calculated revised receivables, payables and inventory based on question info.
Updated cash balances and overdraft to question figures.
It did not balance so I just put the rest down as reserves.Ugh, think I messed up

March 6, 2020 at 6:19 pm #564660I feel like they didn’t cover enough material?.. it was so much loan and get, which is a topic I didn’t cover too well but fingers crossed

I got a lot of questions in the same topic. I had spent a long time studying CAPM, theory on cost of capital, theory on WACC, calculation of cost of capital, risk and uncertainty, etc and in the end there were maybe 2 or 4 marks for all of those topics combined.
