Hi All,
Looking for some help – I have recently enrolled to do the CAT qualification starting with FA1 & MA1 however it was brought to my attention that I could claim exemptions from the first 4 exams due to my practical experience as I have worked in an accountants for the last 4 years. When I looked it up it showed me the technical performance objectives – all of which I’ve done – to claim exemptions but when I go to fill out my FPER none of the headings are the same as shown for the exemptions. For example, online it is shown that one of the objectives needed to complete is:
3. verify and record income and receipts from originating documents.
but when you go onto the Experience record the third objective is ‘Strategy & Innovation’ & the A,B,C,D,E parts seem to have no relevance to the one needed for the exemption.
Can someone shed some light on this please? am I just picking it up wrong? tried phoning ACCA regarding it but they never made it much clearer to be honest.
Thank you.
