Could you please explain in which circumstances we should be referring to McKinsey 7S model?

The 7Ss can be thought of the things you have to get right to make a business succeed. So for example, when appraising a business you could have a look at each of the items. For example, is its structure right? Does it have the right staff with the right skills. Changing any of the Ss could improve performance (or, I suppose, worsen it if the wrong type of change were made).
