January 26, 2020 at 3:34 pm #559936our study notes and lectures give you a very good basis for passing this exam. They are notes, not a text book so, as you say, are much shorter than either of the official texts. However, the additional details in the official texts are only useful if you study very diligently so that you remember it all. In addition, not all the questions are knowledge-based and some require you to apply your knowledge do solving questions. Longer texts do not necessarily help with that type of question. What does help is lots of question practice and it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you buy a revision kit/question bank from Kaplan or BPP (you get a 20% DISCOUNT from BPP if you order through this site).
As you work through the questions, mark you answers on a separate piece of paper so that your book remains unmarked. This means that you can retry questions without any tell-tale clues from your previous attempts. If you get a question right, tick it (not the right answer) and con’t go back to it until you have mastered the ones you got wrong. The list of outstanding questions should gradually reduce. Near the exam you can try questions randomly again.
So, in answer to your query:
OT Notes and lectures NOT ENOUGH to pass
