Hi Sir please can you advise me to understand how 3 fail questions (Q1 had 18 marks, Q2 had 22 marks and Q4 had 20 marks) and only 1 pass (Q3 which had 20 marks) will be reached 49 percent!!! I achieved 49 which to me was absolutely incorrect. I asked for admin review and they came back to me confirming my mark and further comment on fail on Q1,Q2,Q4 and only pass Q3. That was even more bizarre because i had only attempted 8 points out of 20!!! And it was the only Q i was sure i will fail. Even if we consider miracle happened and i passed this Q with extra 2 marks, i still have achieved in best scenarios 8 points out of 18 for Q1, 10 point out of 22 for Q2 and 9 point out of 20 points for Q4. So total mark in best possible way will be 27 point for Q1,Q2 and Q4 plus 10 mark for Q2. Total will be 37 marks. So when they say i have failed 3 questions i cannot gain more than 2 marks out of 4 professional marks for each Failed Questions. This will increase my total score to only 41 and even if they have given me full 4 professional mark for my passed Q, total result come to 45!!!! So how they have confidently confirming my score. I have lost my faith to ACCA as there is no discrepancy. How i pass a Q when i only wrote 8 sentences in total and then failed 3 other questions when i have answered perfectly. And finally how they can calculate 3 fail and 1 pass as 49!!!

The evidence suggests that these were not answered perfectly. You might have written lots and were pleased with your answers, but perhaps what you wrote was not what was needed. It is very difficult to remember accurately what you wrote and make a judgement, particularly if you cannot compare to a model answer.
I’m not sure what you mean by “…and only pass Q3. That was even more bizarre because i had only attempted 8 points out of 20!!!”
How can you attempt 8 points out of 20? I assume you are talking about 8 marks out of 20? But if you don’t know the marking scheme I don’t know how such precision is possible. Your score implied that you made sufficient explanations and responses to gain at least 10 marks. That might have been 4 good comments, to the point, and well- explained. This business of seeing 20 marks and then deciding that you need to say 10 or 20 ‘things’ does not really work. Use the 20 as a guide to the time you need to spend then write the best, most professional answer you can.
I can’t really say anything more useful except what’s done is done. Don’t dwell on it but when practising for you next attempt carefully compare your answers to the model answers – not just on the points you make but how you make them and how well they are explained and how relevant they are to the question.
