What does mischief rule mean
What does purposive approach mean
What is the difference between the two.
How is mischief rule an example of the purposive approach to statutory interpretation.
Are literal and golden rules are examples of the purposive approach to statutory interpretation and why.
Also why is it called purposive approach, why is it not called purposive rule like literal rule golden rule etc. Why approach to statutory interpretation in the place of rule
November 25, 2019 at 8:55 am #553674Let me refer you to the August 2018 (because that’s the latest edition that I have) of the BPP Study Text, page 26, that sets out clearly everything that you will need to know about rules of interpretation
I do believe that I covered the topic adequately in video lectures
If you still have an unresolved issue with interpretation rules, do please post again
OK?

Now do the same for ‘purposive approach’
Any matter unresolved? Post again
