    Dear Tutor,

Thank u first of all for providing us such a brilliant platform for preparing ACCA exams.

The examiner frequently mentions in examiner report that if u come to exam expecting to repeat memorised material will probably score only between 20 % and 30 %.

It means rest 70 to 80 % is based form application and analysis as well as numerical calculation.

My question is how much percentage of marks is for pure numeric calculation on an average?

    Thanks in advance.

I haven’t analysed all the available marking schemes, but in real life calculations are of little use unless the results can be understood, interpreted and and used to make decisions. I would estimate no more than 25% for pure calculation and then 75% for comment and interpretation.
