The date for the submission of OBU RAP was 13th Nov but there was a time constraint of submitting the project at 13 GMT London time. Has the time restriction always been there or did this happen for the first time in the current submission period 39??

This time limit has existed in previous periods. However you make an interesting point as I am not sure if this is actually stated in the Information Pack.

I presume you missed the 13.00 GMT deadline? At one time too the closing date though was certainly 15 November but has crept forward by a day or two over the last couple of years.

Of course there is an argument that the dates are not as concrete as OBU like to make out as the results release for Period 38 was stated in the 2018/2019 Information Pack to be 18 September however unilaterally OBU changed it to a week later (25 September). So yes there is hypocrisy here!!

In addition at one time failed students got their feedback on results day, though in P38 some did not get this until after 1 October (so 2 weeks after they might have expected them had the 18 September date been adhered to). This means with the ‘earlier’ close date of 13 November the turnaround for failed students is now only 6 weeks max whereas at one time it was about 7 weeks…..

Exactly there is no such thing as the time restriction mentioned with the deadline date in the information pack. Would it have costed them millions to add the time as well. This is damn weird. What use is the damn information pack when it doesn’t contain the most important detail.

    Hi Trephena,

I haven’t got a confirmation for my RAP submission. In your experience, do they normally take this long?

When the submission portal system was used the system automatically generated a receipt notification. Now you have to upload via emails I am not sure how long it takes to get an acknowledgement but you could try contacting them at acca@brookes.ac.uk forwarding the original email as evidence that you submitted on time.

Thank you. Hopefully I am not the only one going through the same. I will contact them for clarification. Thanks again.

    Hi,

I’m currently having the same issue.
My submission was on the 13th Nov but yet have received the confirmation email from Oxford Brookes.
Have you reached yourself to Oxford Brookes via email for a confirmation letter? and may I ask when was your submission date?
