Is it possible that an auditor would issue an audit opinion on JUST one statement (e.g. income statement). Would that still be considered statutory audit, and the standard independent auditor report can be issued but only one statement would be mentioned in it?
In short – no – accounts for a statutory audit are a set of financial statements.
