Hi eveyone,
As the last September 2019 exam, I has failed the F8 Audit And Assurance (AA).
However, I already booked the Advance Financial Management course (AFM) at Dec 2019.
Since, the fail from F8 would affect my result at AFM (P4) paper ? In detail, if I pass the P4 without completing the Skill module first, would my result be accepted?
Or I have to retake the F8 with the P4 in the Dec 2019 exam?
Hope that your response would make clear to me.
Thanks everyone for reading my queryOctober 15, 2019 at 4:24 pm #549666The fact that you failed Paper AA will make no difference to the marking for Paper AFM.
However, you will have to enter for AA again in December if you intend to take AFM in December.
Hopefully you will pass both exams, but if it should happen that you fail AA (or even if you do not turn up for the AA exam) but pass AFM, then your AFM pass will still stand 🙂
Hope that all makes sense 🙂

Dear John,
Thanks for your quick reply, im really appreciated.
For your quote: “However, you will have to enter for AA again in December if you intend to take AFM in December.”
-> Still, im planning not to enter the AA exam again in Dec 2019 exam, i already paid for the AFM P4 before receive AA result. Would AFM result still be counted? Since i just want to focus for AFM at Dec 2019 exam.
Thanks for your help.October 16, 2019 at 4:39 pm #549784I am afraid not. You will either have to enter for AA in December 2019 (whether or not you turn up for the exam) or delay your AFM exam until you have either passed AA or attempt AA at the same sitting as AFM.
