    In theory yes, but in practice it is extremely unlikely (and I don’t think has ever been asked in Paper FM).

    In future you must start a new thread when you are asking about a different topic.

    Suppose you sell goods on credit with the amount payable in (say) 2 months time. There is obviously a risk that the customer might end up not paying. So you might ask for a bankers acceptance (or bill of exchange) which is like a post-dated cheque. It is a paper guaranteed by the customer’s bank promising payment in 2 months time. You can either wait the 2 months and are guaranteed to then get the money, or (if you want the money sooner) you can sell the paper to someone else at a discount. The someone else will then get the money in 2 months time.
