    In the question no. 2 of practice questions of chapter 2 (hierarchy of courts) on this website, the correct answer is given as country court, but I felt that high court could also be the answer since it can also hear civil cases. So why is it not correct. Is it because it is mandatory in law to commence civil cases with the lowest level of court in hierarchy or there is some other reason.

    I believe that a case appealed from magistrates court will usually (always?) progress to county (not country as you have typed) court

    OK?
