Sir,
I am currently doing the revision kit and many a times I come across a question which uses the verbs like ‘explain’, ‘analyse’ and the first thought that comes across my mind is to write narrations, However the answer shows the use of a particular model. Can you please highlight to me the requirements of using a model; by that I mean to say is would there be any hints in a question that indicate the use of a model. Your help in this matter will be highly appreciated.
Thank youMay 26, 2012 at 6:42 pm #98237Sometimes the questoin is explicit eg’Carry out a SWOT analysis’
Sometime it says ‘use a model or models of your choice’. You have to look at the data in the question and think what model might be of some help. You do not have to use all of a model eg you might only be able to comment on P, E, T of PESTEL.
When asked to explain/analyse /describe, use a model if one seems appropriate. This produces a better answer, but don’t describe the model: apply it to the scenario.
