Hello,
It is about time i used this forum to get some useful advice from those who’ve been there and done it.
I am currently at a career crossroads. I have completed my AAT studies and now want to start studying CIMA. My aim is to become a Management Accountant.
I have an issue with answering the question that follows.
What is your management accounts experience? when clearly my CV shows no sole repsonsibility for managment accounting. Although this is the next logical step for my career progression. Obviously i have my study experience and my undertanding from sending out management account reports prepared by my bosses and responding to queries in my previous roles.
This is often when applying for roles where the job spec does not include management accounts experience or it is said that i will be assisting with preparing mangement accounts.
Has anybody experienced this and how have they answered? / what would be the best way to answer if i feel it is the right time for me to take on the responsibility?
