Regarding calculation of synergy, answer provided rounded up the increase in share price to 1.6 instead of using 0.077×15=1.155.
So techinically value created for mije shareholders are 1.155x10m = 11550000 less 7080000 = 4470000.

So wondering whether below alternative method, which gives same answer, is correct :
    Value of combined co : 620000+150000+3200000= 3970000
Multiply this by 15 gives 59550000
To find synergy : combined co less value of mije less value of target less premium paid : 59550-48000-6971-109= 4470. Which is same answer. 109 is premium paid, and without considering rounding as follow: share value of target : 6971000/2.4m = 2.904583
    Premium paid per share : 2.95-2.904583 =0.045416
    0.045416×2.4m=109000

Both gives same answer. Is this acceptable?
