Hi, do bank statements come with bank confirmation letter to the auditor? The auditor sends the request one month in advance, but when will the auditor usually receive the letter after the year end? Thank you.

May 12, 2012 at 4:37 pm #97424They contain different information. Bank statements show all the movements from the last statement and the closing balance.
Bank certificates show the closing balance, accrued interest and charges, details of any assets that are mortgaged to the bank, any investments held by the bank on behalf of the client.
May 13, 2012 at 12:23 am #97425Does the bank certificate only cover information until the client’s year end? If I want to check after date payments to verify the completeness of the trade payables balance, do I need the client’s post year end bank statements as the bank certificate won’t give me that information? Thank you.
May 13, 2012 at 5:41 am #97426That’s right. Bank certs are made up to tear end.
