So I havent started yet. I mean i started but would leave after Chapter 1. I simply cant do it.!!! It is so difficult to study and I cant figure out what BPP is trying to say I cant think how will it be examined. I m self Studying with LSBF lectures and I have 2012 BPP and also hot 2009 Kaplan Kit with 2008 GTG. The last two are old ones. Should I study from them or just buy new ones? I cant Do F4 I dont know wthere to skim (read) just once get the idea or what? If i just read once Im sure I cant remember it for only 1 hour….It is so difficut for me People say just read it once and do kit and you will pass. Im just stuck. Ihave my Alevles exams Starting from 16 May then they end on the 25th. Then I have F5 F7. Thoguh I believe i can do them but If f4s gonna take my time I will flunk these both aswell. I also need to Prepare for my A levels Business and Accounts which are hard themselves. Please advice me What to do ?
May 6, 2012 at 11:16 pm #97171i think you are in way over your head. no offense, but thats a lot of exams u will be writing. anyways, i have the same problem with f4, so what i do is, i go though the chapters in detail and then attempt the bpp rev kit on the section i did, that way i’ll reinforce what i learnt. (constantly read them over and over, the answers that is). but then again i dont know where you will get the time….. im attempting f4 f5 and f6 this june…so i have a lot of work as well, however u seem to have it worse. best of luck and start by reading the chaps slowly and believe in yourself!! goodluck 😀

That really is a lot. I did do four papers of acca (out of which two were professional papers) in june immediately followed by my second year exams of bcom in july. I happened to pass them all. I was just like you. I even went into depression and got suicidal the week my exams started.
I honestly couldn’t remember much and revising only freaked me out because I’m forced to start all over again.
Point is, don’t give up. Keep going forward. Dont look back. It will only discourage you.
Revise twice the week before the exam. First revision will probably make you suicidal because you won’t remember shit. Second revision will be better.
Even if you think you are not prepared on the day of the exam, stil write the paper. Theres always a chance of passing. I’ve sometimes wondered how its logically possible for me to have passed certain papers considering the crap I wrote.
Make the best use of your time in the exam. Write a lot. People always tend to score better in papers they have prepared lesser for because they find it easier to answer the question in the scenario instead of vomiting what they memorized.
Don’t lose hope. I hope this helps 🙂
May 10, 2012 at 3:18 pm #97173Thanks alot Guys. I really get some inspiration especially from Natasha (sorry I cant figure out what the name is) but yes I get the point. Its True that I dont remember shit the first time I learn, I keep forgetting. But again how much time diju guys take to Memorize F4 or how much time do you think is feasible to pass the paper on 50. I have started now with Kaplan 2012 and will be done with Contract today. It is very difficult now I am starting to forget my Alevels and everything I have stored in my Mind. I think im Panicking and this might prove bad in the long term but then I think this tension is my Motivation.

I did start studying early. But I was stuck in the beginning too. I took a month and a half for all the four together for real learning.
Learn as much as possible from kit answers. Check pocket notes for extra theory. Write down/highlight everything you need to memorize. Revise only the highlighted/written part (and not the entire kit).
Open the text only if you dont understand a topic. Use it like a dictionary.

By kit, I mean bpp revision kit. It is made in such a way that the questions cover all areas from the syllabus.
For each unit, read the question. Turn over to the answer. Read it. Highlight important points/write them down. Once you are done, take the pocket notes, check for extra theory that wasnt covered in the kit. Write them down. Revise. Go to the next unit.
Start with unit A, then B and then D, E and F. These are volumous. The faster you finish, the better.
