I have f6 f7 f8 f9 remaining. I’m planning to opt 2 subjects for next sitting. Which should i take.

I was gonna take f6 n f7. Some suggested to take f7 n f8 as it’s a better combination. Please give your opinion. I haven’t started preparing yet

Yes, F7 and F8 are probably a better combination. In F7 you need to learn how to apply various IFRS standards and in F8 you learn how to audit those standards are being applied correctly, so there’s a fair bit of overlap. Plus F7 is a fairly calculation based paper and F8 is a wordy paper so they complement each other in that way also.

That being said, I didn’t do them together or even next to each other and it wasn’t a problem.

F6 and F7 both contain a lot of rules to learn, more than any other F papers so both combined might be a lot for your brain to take in.

    Hi,

I had prepared for F7 and F8 together (though delayed F8 for the next sitting since I personally prefer giving just 1 paper per sitting)

Studying F8 alongside F7 was a big help for F8!

I was able to not only understand the concepts well but also build better answers for F8 since I could successfully relate to the standards studied in F7.

Also, as @chris has mentioned, F6 and F7 together would be an overload of information as there are quite a lot of rules and standards that you need to be thorough with in both of them.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best!

Me personally, I went for F5 and F7,
as thats the combo that I’ve grown accustomed to from FIA, with a management paper and a financial paper side by side,

I did MA1 and FA1, then FA2 and MA2, then F2 and F3 and finally F5 and F7, and will probably take APM and SBR together
